Celebrating Grace in Disneyland

Hello blogland.  When we started this blog we had every intention with doing regular posts.  But life doesn't always go as planned.  Our newest little one has given us a run for our money.  But at 8.5 months old i think things are finally settling down.

Anyways, i wanted to make a post about our latest Grace project :)

Our family recently went on a trip to Disneyland.  Before our trip my husband suggested that we do some random acts of kindness and pass out some of Grace's cards to celebrate her upcoming birthday.  I of course thought this was a great idea and started thinking of things that we could do.

This is what i ended up coming up with.

I found these cute ziplock bags and thought they would be perfect for making goodie bags.  We filled each one with little goodies that we thought kids would enjoy.  Little coloring packs, glow sticks or rings, suckers, bracelets, collapsible water bottles, and other little things.  Each one had one of Grace's cards inside.  In total i was able to make 34 of them.  We packed them up and took them on the trip with us.

Each day in the park we kept on the look our for kids who were maybe having a rough time, or just families that stood out to us and thought would appreciate a goodie bag.  "Rainbow" especially loved picking out kids to give goodie bags to.

Most of the people we encountered were really receptive and appreciated the kind gesture.  Others looked at us a little odd not understanding what we were doing. We just hope that these goodies were able to brighten their day a little bit.  It sure brightened our day to be able to pass them out.

Happy upcoming birthday Gracie.  I hope we make you proud.

We all love you and wish you could have
physically been a part of our trip.
